Aloha and welcome to St. Augustine by-the-sea Catholic Church.

Today is Good Friday. The readings for today can be found at usccb.org

The 3 p.m. Good Friday liturgy at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace can be live-streamed at

All public liturgies and parish events and classes have been canceled in the Diocese of Honolulu through April 30, 2020,  because of the COVID-19 crisis. Please go to our Church News page for updated information, including the most recent directive from Bishop Larry Silva on Holy Week liturgies.

The parish office is closed but we are continuing our outreach ministry in Waikiki. Aunty Carmen’s Kitchen, which provides a hot meal to the hungry between 11 a.m. and noon weekdays. The shower van will continue to be available in our parking lot on Thursdays between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Please call us 808-923-7024 or email us at staugustinebythesea@gmail.com for emergencies and pastoral requests. If you are not receiving our weekly email updates and would like to, please contact us at staugustinebythesea@gmail.com and give us your email address.

Our faith sustains us in these difficult times and we know that our good and compassionate God will guide us through these days.

    Fr. Lane K. Akiona ss.cc.

You have made us for yourself, Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.
